The official name of Latvia is the Republic of Latvia. Latvia is a country on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Estonia. It has landscape that contains large beaches and green forests. Riga is the capital of Latvia. Notable wooden and art nouveau architecture, a vast Central Market and a medieval Old Town with St. Peter's Church can be found in Riga. The deadlines for application vary depending on the study program and the university.

Generally, the application deadline for international students is usually from April 1 to July 15 for courses that start the following autumn (August) and September 1 to December 1 for courses starting the following Spring (February).

Note: Universities in Latvia may have different deadlines for EU and non-EU students.Application package consist of following documents:

  • Application form
  • Copy of passport.
  • Official academic transcripts with translations if not in Latvia or English.
  • Proof of English proficiency, if your mother tongue is not English or you have not obtained your previous education in English.
  • Proof of payment of application fee.
